Improving access to water for Lima's poor citizens

Peru's capital, Lima, is one of the driest cities in the world. Close to one million people there don’t have access to safe drinking water. Instead, they depend on makeshift wells, which often attract rats, flies and disease. The government water agency SEDAPAL has vowed to supply everyone with clean water over the next three years. Naomi Conrad visited a village on the outskirts of Lima.
