Singing in a choir may not be everyone's idea of fun, but it's a pastime that's experiencing something of a renaissance. Here in Germany, nearly 3.5 million people belong to 60,000 registered choirs. In Hamburg, a new community choir that mixes traditional pieces with modern rock and pop is attracting hundreds of untrained singers based on the adage: 'sing together for fun.'
