German economy minister meets with Opel bosses

The German government is still deliberating on how to help save jobs at carmakers and parts suppliers here. General Motors subsidiary, Opel, says it wants to split from Detroit and that it needs 3-point-three billion (b) euros from Berlin to do it. Opel officials are due to meet government representatives today to discuss their plans.
