Free WiFi for refugees

For refugees, the internet is often their only connection to their home country. And across Germany, volunteers are banding together to make sure asylum-seekers have access to WiFi free of charge.

Neighbors are giving refugees wireless access by using special software to connect routers together, creating ad hoc WiFi networks. The routers are usually financed through donations, and asylum-seekers have access to the networks free of charge.
