Fiat says it is seriously interested in taking over Opel

Italian carmaker Fiat says it's seriously interested in taking over German car-maker Opel - a subsidiary of General Motors. The announcement comes just two days after the US government said Fiat would be entering into a partnership with Chrysler. Fiat CEO Sergio Mark-ionne is set to meet German government officials on Monday. Opel employees have serious reservations about the possible takeover.
