In Uganda, people are alarmed by findings that farmers are using unregulated chemicals on their crops to control pests and diseases. Besides local consumption, Uganda also exports food to Europe, Asia, the US and across the African continent. Many of the pesticides used have been linked to a number of health problems. The issue is — many farmers don't know what it is they're using.
