Michael BärDecember 19, 2007

The European Union's executive arm has approved strict limits on carbon dioxide emissions for automobiles. In Brussels - the European Commission proposed reducing the average amount of CO-2 emitted by new passenger cars from 160 to 120 grams per kilometer by 20-12. The proposal now needs to be approved by member states. Germany opposes the move - saying it places an unfair economic burden on its automobile industry.
