Documenting the forgotten gulags of the Soviet era

A group of Czech historians have embarked on an ambitious online project (http://gulag.cz/en) documenting some of the tens of thousands of Soviet gulag camps which mostly now lie abandoned amongst the birch trees of Siberia. Millions of people were sent to the gulags under Stalin. But just one of the camps has been preserved as a museum - and that could be shut down. Rob Cameron reports.
