A man who trained his dog to give the Hitler salute has to answer to a Berlin court this Thursday. The 54 year-old Roland T., allegedly well-known for Nazi comments and his mentally disturbed state in his Berlin neighborhood, taught his dog Adolf to lift his right paw on the command "Give the salute!" Police officers who witnessed the act in March 2002 cited the dog owner for using "the symbol of an unconstitutional organization." German law states that salutes that are similar or can be interpreted as the Hitler salute, are strictly verboten. But Adolf won't likely be called as a witness against his owner: dogs aren't allowed in Berlin courtrooms.
