For nearly a decade, Canada has been regarded as a "climate villain." Under Stephen Harper’s conservative government, Ottawa pulled out of the Kyoto Protocol, pursuing the expansion of oil and tar sand production. Now, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau is at the helm. Trudeau promises the days of “dirty Canada” are over. Activists staged a "climate welcome" to remind the new leader to "walk the talk."
