Climat change: International research teams have long been studying the inland icesheet in Greenland

The Environmental Protection Agency in the US has cleared the way for the regulation of greenhouse gases by declaring them a threat to human health. The move is expected to strengthen the hand of US president Barack Obama heading to the UN's climate summit in Copenhagen.
