Chancellor Says Labor Laws Need Loosening

Chancellor Gerhard Schröder has said he is open to loosening Germany’s strict hiring and firing laws. In an interview with German news channel, N24 on Friday, Schröder said getting rid of the bureaucracy in the labor market was necessary, although the details were still to be discussed and the move would help small and middle-sized firms.
