Immigrants exploited in Brazil

Due to Brazil’s economic boom, thousands of Bolivian immigrants have flocked to Sao Paulo, South America’s wealthiest city. The vast majority of Bolivians in Sao Paulo work as textile workers. Arriving in Sao Paulo without money, a place to stay or legal work permits, they are often vulnerable to exploitation from unscrupulous employers.
