Belgium's Bombspotters

VideoassistentenApril 13, 2010

The world has been living with nuclear weapons for well over half a century. For some, the weapons represent a useful and necessary deterrent that actually makes the world a safer place. They argue that these weapons are so devastating that the mere possibility that they might be used is enough to ward off any likely attacker. But not everyone agrees. Nuclear weapons opponents see the bombs as a security threat in themselves and say it is just a matter of time before they are used again. While efforts are underway to trim nuclear arsenals and restrict proliferation, opponents continue to draw attention to their cause - as we see in our next report on Belgium's Bombspotters.
