Beer dispute in Thailand

Under Thai law, only big breweries with a capacity of at least 10 million litres per year are allowed to brew and sell beer in stores - which renders smaller businesses illegal. While the government says those restrictions are needed to guarantee quality standards, home-brewers see it as an unfair means to protect Thailand's long-established beer dynasties.
