Authorities in Brandenburg raise the flood alert to its highest level

Here in Germany, authorities have raised the flood alert status along the Oder River as the state of Brandenburg braces for high water. +++LM-REIN+++ Poland has seen the worst flooding in Central Europe over the past few days, with at least 15 people killed and thousands evacuated. Authorities say the floodwaters are now headed towards Brandenburg. Sandbags are being distributed in the city of Frankfurt Oder.
