The trial of Myanmar’s opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi was extended till after the weekend on Friday. The pro-democracy campaigner is on trial for allegedly breaching the terms of her house arrest in May. Suu Kyi’s defence team said it was unhappy as it would give the prosecution more time to prepare its arguments, whereas it had not been able to finish its final arguments on Friday.
