Arts.21 # Digital Books – New ways to find readers # 28.02.2009

Sebastian KatzerMarch 1, 2009

Literature and the Internet make strange bedfellows. Experiments of the past years have thus far failed to kindle enthusiasm for reading. The Internet site www.zehnseiten.de is different. The idea behind it is as simple as it is ingenious: an author sits at a table and reads ten pages from his or her work, looking straight into the camera, in black and white, without narration or questions - no frills, in fact. The project was created by four musicians and music producer Mario Thaler. ARTS.21 watched them film writer and musician Thomas Meinecke.
