The captains of the teams in the Confederations Cup semi-finals this weekend will read an anti-racist message while a banner will be unfurled reading "No to Racism", world governing body FIFA announced. "We must use the unique power of soccer to encourage social development and encourage peace as well as to fight discrimination," FIFA President Sepp Blatter announced. "Our competitions are not only sporting events, but are also platforms to raise public awareness of the most urgent social problems." The semi-finals take place on Saturday in Nuremberg and on Sunday in Hanover. The FIFA anti-racism campaign is also being promoted at the World Under-20 championships currently taking place in the Netherlands.
