More than 30,000 retirees took to the streets across Germany on Monday to protest against government health and pension policies. Blowing whistles and holding signs such as "These Policies are Blind," around 27,000 pensioneers protested on the streets of Munich. Thousands of protestors also took to the streets in Berlin, Bremen and Stuttgart. In an effort to cut public spending, the German government passed legislation that looks to decrease annual increases in pension payments and make patients pay more for health care.
