Michael BärAugust 21, 2009

The man convicted of the 1988 Lockerbie bombing received a hero's welcome in his home country of Libya - after being released from prison in Scotland. Scotland's justice minister decided to free Abdel Basset al-Megrahi after doctors said the Libyan national had terminal cancer and only months to live. Megrahi had been sentenced to life in prison.
