Since the withdrawal of international troups from Afghanistan, conflict and violence in the region have resurged. The Taliban are taking more territory in the country, overrunning military outposts, villages and major cities. A growing number of civilians are trying to find safety. While the number of Afghan refugees in Pakistan is much higher, more than 11,000 Afghan refugees are officially registered in India, along with an unknown number of illegal refugees. They are worried for their families back home and wonder when they will see them again.
