Admire it! The Mercedes SLS AMG Coupe Formula 1 Safety Car

Der Einsatz des Safety Cars kann den Verlauf eines Formel 1 Rennens total auf den Kopf stellen. Vorsprünge gehen verloren und Rennstrategien laufen ins Leere. Doch Sicherheit hat in gefährlichen Situationen höchste Priorität. 1973 zum ersten Mal beim Großen Preis von Kanada im Einsatz, kommen die Safety Cars seit 1996 vom Mercedes Werkstuner AMG.

Huge leads can be whittled down and entire race strategies destroyed. But safety has to have top priority. Safety Cars in Formula 1 debuted at the 1973 Canadian Grand Prix, and since 1996 have been provided by Mercedes’ works tuner AMG. The cars’ mission: to take the danger out of hazardous situations.
