German sportswear giant Adidas-Salomon has announced that it will exclusively dress officials, support staff and volunteers at the Olympic Games in Athens this summer. The company will also make products for 26 of the 28 Olympic sports and supply the official balls for the football and handball tournaments. The Bavarian-based company has already drawn up contracts to supply 21 national teams for the games. It hopes to boost awareness of its trademark three-stripe brand through events such as the Olympics and the Euro 2004 football championship, which it is also sponsoring. The company did not release any financial details of either of the sponsorship deals.
