(03.02.04) Voters in seven U.S. states cast their ballots Tuesday for their favoured democratic presidential candidate to challenge Bush in November. Senator John Kerry maintained his upward momentum moving him closer to winning the Democratic nomination. Following disappointing losses, presidential hopeful Joseph Lieberman announced afterwards he would drop out of the race. DW’s Ludgar Schadomsky spoke with Carolyn Bauman from the conservative leaning think tank, the American Enterprise Institute to find out what the main issues were on voters minds as they voted for the democratic primary candidate on Tuesday.
