DW Akademie Film Festival Workshop 2012 # 16.02.2012 # Programm

In February 2012, the DW Akademie conducted a workshop "Film Festival and Event Management" in cooperation with the Berlinale management. The workshop is for international managers and organizers of film festivals. Twelve participants from Africa, Asia and, for the first time, Latin America took part. Prior to the start of the Berlinale, they were looking at festival promotion strategies and learning more about funding, organization and film selection at DW Akademie. During the Berlinale, they had an opportunity to see how the festival itself is run and meet and network with those involved. Date: February 2012. Report by: Charlotte Hauswell.
