World In Progress: Staying a step ahead of malaria

The World Health Organization wants to eliminate malaria in at least 35 countries by 2030. Although there has been lots of progress towards this goal, some countries have noticed case numbers are remaining constant, or even rising. At Ifakara Health Institute in Tanzania, scientists believe that one of the reasons behind this is a shift in the mosquito population which transmits the disease.
