Delhi's Waste Collectors

The Bhalaswa dump is one of New Delhi’s largest landfills. Its towering piles of trash stretch on for 40 acres. Dozens of children work at the landfill, as so-called "ragpickers" - collecting anything that can be recycled, reused or sold to make a little extra money for their families. Laura Salm-Reifferscheidt went to meet some of them.
