Name: Irene
Age: 31
Hometown: Mexico City

What is most important to you in your life?
What is most important to me is what I do - to go to school and do lectures and classes with my students, interact with them and talking about free culture, free software, surveillance, and how to be careful of that. Obviously my family and friends are important to me too, especially my brother Luis, my fiancé Chema and my best friend Yanina.

Realistically, what do you expect from your future?
I hope to continue teaching always, and do it better each time. I would like to be a leader in my topic (free software) in my country. I hope my country conditions improve, especially in areas such as government surveillance, threats against journalists and activists. I also hope to continue building my personality to be a fulfilled and happy person, loving and accepting myself as I am, achieving it with constant reflection, working hard and doing what I love every day.

How do you spend your free time?
I love to travel, but I can only do it once a year. I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, and enjoy the small pleasures of life like walking on a sunny day or sleeping late on Sundays.

If you want to reward yourself by doing something special, what do you do?
If time allows: travel at least a month through some unknown country. Otherwise, a wonderful dinner at a nice place would be ok.
