World in Progress: Chile's fishermen fear toxic algae

It’s been a very difficult year for a region in the south of Chile known as Los Lagos. The region suffered from several toxic algae blooms. The first killed 24 million salmon and later a second toxic bloom known as the red tide infected the local shellfish. One area in the region that's been particularly affected is the island of Chiloe where the locals depend on the sea for their survival.
