Italy is a country famed for its rich culinary offerings. But over the last century or so, the variety of produce has shrunk. Some regional and local fruits and vegetables have all but vanished. But some determined “agricultural custodians” are struggling to keep varieties from the past alive. Megan Williams has this report from Umbria on one woman’s efforts to do just that.
