More than 10-thousand people have now died from COVID-19 in Germany, following a sharp rise in cases in recent weeks. A new record in daily infections has also been set in the last 24 hours with more than 14-thousand coronavirus cases. Tougher restrictions have been imposed in many of Germany's federal states to help stem the surge.
